A girl with bunny ears and blonde hair on a light blue background. She looks mischievously at the viewer and flowers and stars are strewn across the background. Her clothes are retro and somewhat akin to the style Harajuku girls wear.
Is this what Alice would look like if she didn't go to Wonderland but to Bunny land instead? I think so, and maybe she would have more fun there.
The atmosphere I tried to set is a magical one. After all, ears don't usually pop out of a blonde girl's head like that.
The work is colourful and playful, but also graphic and sleek. The technique I used is paper cutting, or collage, whereby I use pieces of coloured paper to build up an image from small parts.
Fans of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland might consider purchasing this work, since it blends the main character, Alice, with that of the white bunny, which results in a hybride of both.
It is a beautiful in an interior that could use some cold but vibrant colours. Thus, it is both a pop of colour and a piece of pop culture.
My work distinguishes itself by strong colours and clear shapes. I work with ecoline, ink and pencil, but I also like to cut and paste.
I get my inspiration from nature and like to daydream. Animals and people sometimes seem to melt together in these reveries.
