Terrazza Mascagni, the boulevard of coastal Livorno with its black-and-white checkered marble tiles is worth a visit. More than 4,000 columns are incorporated into the balustrade, sit on it or on one of the many benches to enjoy a beautiful panorama.
For the photo, I had to wait a long time for people coming up the stairs to the promenade, they went up the steps in exactly the right place in terms of composition.
I got the small island in the photo by holding the camera high so that the island was clear of the balustrade, I could just catch the people on the left.
Here I had a polarisation filter in front of the lens to make the clouds stand out better and to remove glare.
