A jackdaw is perched on a branch keeping an eye on things. Probably the feeding pole and feeder in my garden, too. He's actually sitting there watching them. This jackdaw sits some distance away just outside the garden, and from this spot he can see if new food has been placed. After all, it is winter, it is cold and then supplementary feeding is necessary. He often sits there too, flying up to the food I have placed. For contrast, I put the picture in black and white.
