I did not want to 'freeze the dynamics of a cormorant flying by'by a short exposure time. To work with a long shutter speed, I went out early, when there was hardly any light. It was mid-November, it had snowed a little, and there was a strong wind. Everything was in motion; the bird, the water, the sky and the drifting sand. That resulted in this image, which shows movement yet strangely radiates calm. This photo was taken on the beach at Castricum aan Zee.
