The Gooi has many beautiful spots. In the early 20th century, rich Amsterdammers came to the Gooi for the healthy air and the beauty of nature. They had villas and country houses built, such as the estates in 's Graveland. Landscape architects were hired to design the gardens. Gooilust estate is one such example. Here we see the moat at the back of Gooilust, bordering the Corversbos, in autumn colours.
