Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Daredevil: The Cow That Dared’ by Tim Hupkes

A cow balances unflinchingly on a taut rope, high above the ground. On the other side, a second cow watches from a rock, whilst two birds fly through the bright blue sky. A completely improbable scene, but the tightrope walker herself seems to have no problem with it whatsoever.

To me, ‘Daredevil’ is about courage, balance and trust. It’s about doing something you might not be entirely sure is sensible, but doing it anyway. Not because you’re certain it will end well, but because you want to move forward.

At the same time, it doesn’t all have to be so serious. I love placing animals in situations where you’d normally never find them. It’s precisely that combination of a recognisable animal and an absurd scenario that gives the work its humour.

The bright blue background makes the image fresh and powerful, drawing all attention to the two cows and their curious adventure. A cheerful, quirky painting for people who love animals, colour and a touch of absurdity.

I create art that has no intention of fading quietly into the background. Colourful animals full of character, bold abstracts and a good dose of humour represent two very different sides of my work, linked by colour, energy and individuality.
