Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Beach Day’ by Tim Hupkes

‘Beach Day’ is a tranquil, abstract landscape in which a broad, sand-coloured foreground and a bright blue sky meet at a narrow, dark horizon. With just a few patches of colour, it evokes the feeling of an endless beach on a peaceful, sunny day.

The work has been deliberately kept simple. No people, parasols or beach huts, just space, light and colour. The thin purple and reddish-brown line on the horizon creates a powerful contrast between the warm sand and the cool blue, drawing your gaze into the distance.
For me, the power of ‘Beach Day’ lies precisely in that simplicity. It evokes the feeling of a day when, for a moment, there is absolutely nothing you need to do. The sky is vast, the beach lies open before you and the horizon seems endlessly far away.

The tranquil composition lends the painting a sense of calm and meditation, whilst the warm yellow and bright blue feel both sunny and optimistic. A piece for those who love space, simplicity, colour and that wonderful feeling of a carefree day by the sea.
