While travelling around New Zealand, I came across a vintage car. And another. And another. Two. I marvelled at the procession of American classics passing by and asked a fellow photographer where they were going. It turned out there was an event called 'Americarna' going on that week.
The next day, I decided to change my plans and visit the car show. There were cars's of all shapes and sizes; pick-up trucks, a replica Knightrider, Shelby Cobra's, (plural!), sports cars and this exceptional specimen of a Lowrider. The car stands with one side two millimetres off the ground, while the American flag flies proudly in the background. These are those exceptional lucky shots that a travelling photographer lives for.
