During the "roadtrip of my life", I also visited an urbex location, Kolmanskop, a ghost town in the Namib Desert in southern Namibia at the height of the town of Luderitz. Formerly a diamond mine, it is now a deserted and dilapidated ghost town where the sand from the desert has free rein. Because I had applied for a "Photographers Permit" I could enter the complex before sunrise and stay until after sunset. Magical experience to wander around there on your own.
A view through the open doorway to the rooms behind, where in the foreground the light coming through the battered roof guides your gaze through the image. Nice contrast between the red sand and the blue wall finish.
My roadtrip spanned six weeks immediately preceding the corona crisis, traveling alone in a 4wd with a rooftop tent through Namibia and South Africa. An unforgettable experience.
