A ladybug on a leaf. This specimen had been walking around on a plant for a long time. He was climbing every leaf, all the way to the tip and then back again at the bottom, so it was rather difficult for me to guess where he would keep popping up. He seemed to see me and seemed to dive away all the time. When I left him alone, he stayed on this leaf. Then I could strike. He stayed put long enough for a picture.
Ladybirds belong to the beetles. This is the seven dotted ladybird.
