Mil Mi-24P Hind of the Hungarian Air Force.
The Mil Mi-24 (NATO code name is Hind) is a large Russian combat helicopter that can also carry a small number of military personnel.
The base of the helicopter is derived from the Mil Mi-8. The aircraft has two turboshaft engines that drive a five-bladed rotor. Starting with the D version, the Hind received its characteristic bubble cockpit. Other components come from the Mil Mi-14. Suspension points for weapons are attached under two small wings mounted in the center. These wings also provide elevator at the same time. They both have three suspension points. The weaponry is mission dependent. The Hind can be used for close air support, anti-tank missions and air combat. The fuselage is heavily armored and the titanium rotor blades can withstand an impact of 12.7mm bullets. The cockpit is pressurized to protect the crew during NBC attacks. The helicopter has a retractable three-piece landing gear.
