About ‘Old sound’ by Jan van der Knaap

The needle of a machanical recordplayer working its way through a groove of an old record. The needle picks up the vibration of the groove and brings it over to the mica disc to make the sound audible. Very primitive indeed, but the sound is much better than expected. Recording sound must have been so impressive in those days!
