The purple and white orchid emerges from the soft, light-flooded background as if from an impressionist painting. Its characteristic flower shapes and speckled pattern are reminiscent of the purple orchid (Orchis purpurea) - a native wild orchid that thrives on nutrient-poor meadows and sparse forest edges and enchants with its extraordinary floral splendour.
At the centre of the composition is the single flower, which rises proudly and upright from the green grass. The finely drawn sepals open like arms in a dance - elegant and powerful at the same time. Every nuance of white, pink and purple is visible and unfolds against the high-contrast background, which glows in yellow and delicate shades of green. The blurring of the surroundings has the effect of a soft sea of light that literally envelops the orchid.
This picture exudes joie de vivre, lightness and at the same time a quiet reverence for the complexity of nature. The choice of perspective - almost at eye level with the flower - invites us to encounter and observe the plant as an individual being. A moment of mindfulness.
The composition is ideal for large-format prints in portrait or square format. It is particularly effective on acrylic glass or as a luminous direct print on aluminium. As a mural, it brings the energy of spring into any room - be it a modern living room, a nature-inspired office or a practice room with an open, light-filled character.
The image appeals not only to nature lovers and botanists, but also to people with a sense of colour, harmony and powerful individual motifs. An impressive floral gallery can be created, especially in combination with other pictures from the same series.

I then bought my digital SLR camera in 2014. The first photos..
