About ‘Oudegracht in winter’ by Jan van der Knaap

This is the Oudegracht in the January winter of 2019, as seen from the Bakkerbrug. It was snowing at the time and together with the historical buildings that would make a nice picture. Despite the fact that it is winter and the terraces are empty, it is clear that Utrecht has a lively hospitality industry on the quays of the Oudegracht. Restaurant Il Pozzo can be seen with the parasol on the right, De Werfkring is on the other side, a little further on the left is Fusto d'Oro and Tafel on the canal, and in the distance is the Jansbrug.

This photo was taken on 22 January 2019 and belongs to the Modern History series, and is therefore executed in black and white.
