About ‘Painted sky (3:4)’ by Lex Schulte

Sunrise at the Genneperhuis, on the Maas. It was a cold but as good as a bright sunrise. Even before the sun rose above the horizon, the sky was provided with beautiful colors. The picturesque effect of the clouds was caused by the use of a very long shutter speed. With a shutter speed of more than eight minutes, the stripes are created because the clouds continue to move.
The Genneper House was a fortress and fortified fortress at the mouth of the Niers in the Meuse near the town of Gennep near Milsbeek. Until 2009 there was hardly any ruin, only the crown works and elevations in the landscape give an impression of the size. The area has the status of a protected monument.
In 2009 a start was made with a partial reconstruction around the castle ruin and crowns and canals are made visible again. In addition, test slots were dug at the Bloemenstraat to provide insight into archaeological details. Work was completed in 2010 and the area is now accessible as a tourist attraction. Five walkways were laid on the foundations and a bridge was placed over the Niers.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
