The mountain village of La Roque-Cageac in the French Dordogne is an elongated ribbon village built against the mountainside. From the mountainside the village has a beautiful view over the hilly Dordogne valley and the river. I found this structure, of which I do not exactly recognize its function. It has two entrances and openings on all sides, no further facilities. There is a staircase, so I think this is a small meeting point. Someone suggested that this is a panorama house for the view. La Roque-Cageac belongs to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France ("the most beautiful villages in France").
