Peacock Chic – hand-drawn with acrylic markers on canvas

Painting 2 from a set of 3

The peacock in this series naturally lends itself perfectly to a touch of extravagance. So for this painting, I deliberately went all out.

With the peacock, it actually felt quite logical to go all out. The feathers, colours and natural appearance of a peacock are already quite exuberant, so I took that a step further with the accessories and styling.

I created the painting entirely with acrylic markers on canvas. I like to work with clear lines and lots of colour, but at the same time I try to retain sufficient small details and colour variations in the feathers.

I built up the background using peacock feathers, so that the subject is, as it were, surrounded by its own colours and patterns. This meant I didn’t have to paint a complicated background and could focus primarily on the subject itself.

The result is a colourful and graphic painting in which the peacock has truly been given a personality of its own.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
