The hibiscus is a beautiful summer flower. She comes in many different colours, here in a pink red colour. It shines like summer and we can enjoy it. The pistil is yellow and insects come to collect the nectar.

From the Algarve to The GambiaI have time to draw and paint more after years of volunteer work for the St. Care Foundation The Gambia. Inspiration I got in the Gambia where I also lived. The colors, the population and life is a great source of inspiration. But also the quieter life now is inspiring to use softer colours and to work more with pastel chalk. But still it's nice to work in all kinds of colours and to try out new techniques and new materials.
