A Dutch mountain landscape as you might find it on the outskirts of a Limburg village. After a fruitless search for dewy dragonflies for which I had gotten up as early as 4.30 a.m., I drove home again, undisturbed, until I came across this red party on the verge. Immediately parked and grabbed the camera, of course. Not only the poppies were beautiful because the backlight fell through their leaves, but also the insects! Beautiful bumblebees buzzed from flower to flower. And then it's lucky that one comes sharply in front of the lens! An image to make you happy. Especially at a time when biodiversity is declining and it is no longer taken for granted that you will find insects and flowering plants just like that in Dutch nature. Because that makes you sad. But with this photo above your sofa, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Nature is still there. Hopefully it will hold its own!
