About ‘Rijkgevuld Bloemstilleven (art project)’ by Susan Hol

In 2014 I had an idea for a project: to create a very richly filled flower still life, following the example of the old masters (m / f). And, I also wanted to use all those flower photos that roam the social media Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. I asked the posters if they wanted to donate a flower photo for the Flower Still Life project, all kinds of flowers from all seasons, just like the old masters did. This work of art participated in the Rijksstudio Award 2015 Make your own masterpiece, an initiative of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. I made a YouTube video of the construction process: https://youtu.be/gD2YicohSjM
