The Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II (Victor Emmanuel Monument) is a national monument in Rome that was completed in 1927.
It is located on the Capitoline Hill at the southern end of Via del Corso between Piazza Venezia and the Roman Forum, next to Trajan's Forum.
The monument is dedicated to the first king of the newly founded Kingdom of Italy, Victor Emmanuel II of the House of Savoy. Today it is one of the state symbols of the Italian Republic. The building houses the Museo del Risorgimento, which commemorates the Italian state-founding movement in the 19th century.
