About ‘Rustiek Keizersgracht’ by Jan van der Knaap

Dit is de Keizersgracht rechts en het Zwartewater links in Utrecht. Het water is ook Zwarte Water genoemd (twee woorden!) en is een afsplitsing van de Vecht nabij. De foto is ook genomen vanaf de Lauwerechtbrug aan de Lauwerecht, waar de Vecht zich naar de foto afsplitst.
Deze watergang, die de naam Zwarte Water kreeg vanwege het donkere veenwater, kwam ter hoogte van de Nieuwe Keizersgracht uit op de Oude Vecht. De Oude Vecht was oorspronkelijk de hoofdloop van de rivier de Vecht, die vanaf Vechten oostelijk om Utrecht liep. Tussen 1122, het jaar van de afdamming van de Rijn bij Wijk bij Duurstede, en 1300 is deze waterweg grotendeels verland. Een restgeul is hier echter opengehouden om als vaarweg te kunnen blijven dienen.
De Keizersgracht en het Zwartewater zijn rustieke straatjes waar het geruis van de stad nagenoeg afwezig is. Als in de lente de bomen vol in bloesem staan... ja dan zou ik daar best willen wonen.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
