About ‘Saint Helena Hill,’ by anne hamers

After a beautiful walk through the vast forest of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, I reach watchtower De Kaap. From the top, the landscape stretches out before me: a sea of green treetops under a clear blue sky. In the distance are moors, where hikers with dogs and playing children enjoy nature.

The wind feels fresh at this altitude, and the view is breathtaking. Birds hover above the trees, and the occasional deer or other wildlife can be spotted in the distance. This is a place where peace and nature come together, a reward after a brisk walk through the forest.
