About the artwork

You step out of the dim interior, and there it is — the Baptistery, perfectly framed by the massive doorway. It feels like architecture within architecture, one space leading into another. The light outside is harsh but balanced, casting strong highlights on the stone while leaving the shadows behind the door heavy and quiet. The group of people leaning on the railing gives the moment a sense of pause. Some look up, others just take it in. You get a sense of how overwhelming the building must be in real life — the intricate façade, the circular form, the weight of history behind each arch. What makes the photo work is the perspective: standing just far enough back to catch the door frame, which gives the whole scene scale and structure. It’s a moment of contrast — dark and light, old and new, inside and out — all tied together by the people who’ve come to look. No one’s in a rush. This place invites stillness.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
