Once different with a sunset. By putting a glass ball on the beach, you actually make two worlds in one photo. The sunset is reflected in the glass ball while you still see the real sun in the background. This way you get two worlds captured in one image.
This picture is made on Rømø, which is the southernmost inhabited Danish wadden island and lies between the islands of Sylt and Mandø. The area of the island is 130 square kilometers. There are less than 1000 people living.
A 9 km long dam connects the island with the mainland. Instead of Havneby on the island, a ferry can be taken, but it does not travel to the Danish coast but to the German wadden island of Sylt. Like a number of other wadden Islands, Rømø has had an ever changing size. The island has a small seaside resort, Lakolk.
