What beautiful soft colors in this macro photo!
They are the leaves of a Father plant (Tradescantia).
The beauty of this plant is the striped pattern of different variegated colors on the leaves. Each leaf does have the same colors but still each leaf is unique. Especially the bright pink is a real eye-catcher. If the plant gets regular sun the colors become even more intense.
Naturally these plants grow from Canada to Argentina. There are many different species but I think this one is one of the most beautiful.
What is also special about this plant is that the leaves glisten beautifully when the sunlight shines on them. As if there is a layer of water on the leaf.
While photographing I noticed that in each leaf there are very small dots that look like small pieces of metal or silver. This probably creates the shiny effect.
To further enhance this shiny effect, I mixed two photos together using multiple exposure: a macro photo of the colored leaf combined with a photo of a macro shot of a piece of synthetic fabric glittering in the sun.
This gives the photo a romantic and sparkling look. The shiny effect is thereby enhanced even more, as if thousands of droplets are glistening around the plant!
A beautiful fresh and romantic image. Beautiful for your wall!
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
