In nature, we are often confronted with dead wood. In the mountains of Huesca (Spain), it is very dry and hot, especially in the summer months. Fallen trees wither immediately and dry out completely at a later stage.
The wood discolours and becomes hard.
In this image, the dead vegetation prevails and contrasts sharply with the sparse greenery.
The harsh shadow betrays the bright sunlight.
