This is an abstract photograph. A strip of sunlight falls over heavy steel profiles lying on the ground, with coarse gravel, grey crushed stone, between them. I took this photo in autumn, late afternoon, the sun is already low and will soon disappear. Because of the surroundings outside the photo, there is still a narrow strip of sunlight in the picture. It has become a graphic composition. The sun enters from the top right at an angle, while the steel strips run diagonally in the other direction. I think this is a powerful pattern, supported by the expressive contrast. This is what black-and-white photography is very good at.
