About ‘Sunrise on the water’ by Margot van den Berg

Bay of Pigs, Cuba. I don't know about you, but I had no image of it. Yes, it is part of Cuba's history. A failed invasion of Cuban exiles took place here in 1961. But that I had any further image of it. Not really.

The booklet managed to tell me it was marshland and that was true. I have never been stung by mosquitoes as much as I was there, even though I was completely covered in mosquito repellents they just kept stinging. But soon that didn't matter so much.

The marsh turned out to be beautiful. With calm water, wide channels and islands in between. And our hotel in Playa Giron was built on those islets with walkways in between. The tranquillity, the birds and even the mosquitoes made a big impression.

In the morning, we left early by silent boat. To watch the sunrise on the water. The photo proves, it was beautiful. Silent trees with their reflection distorted by the gently undulating water and behind the trees the big rising sun. A morning in golden hues.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
