About "The Globe Theatre London Street View"

About the artwork

A view from the road looking towards The Globe Theatre in London. The original Globe Theatre in London, associated with William Shakespeare, was built in 1599 using timber from an even earlier theatre from 1576. It was destroyed by fire in 1613. During a performance of a Shakespeare play, Henry VIII, a cannon misfired causing the fire! The theatre was rebuilt in 1614 and then closed in 1642. The new Globe Theatre in London shown in this image is a modern reconstruction built a small distance away from the site of the original and it opened to great critical acclaim.

Audiences love attending performances here, experiencing performances as they would have been during Shakespeare's time. Seats are bench like but there is a great line of sight around the auditorium. People like to cluster and stand down in the front where, apart from the chance of getting wet if it rains, they really get to feel like they are participating in the play as the actors interact with them.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
