During my visit to the Real Alcázar in Seville, I was quieted by the symmetry, soft light and almost silent nature of this place. In this picture, you can see the Patio de las Doncellas, the heart of the palace. The reflection in the water, the rhythm of the arches, and the warm, yellowish light falling over the stone facades - all contribute to an almost meditative atmosphere.
What struck me was how carefully everything is constructed. Every detail in the stucco seems made with patience and attention. The architecture combines Moorish influences with later Gothic and Renaissance elements, without losing its balance.
I wanted to take this picture from a low vantage point so that the symmetry comes out more strongly. The trees in the garden add something soft to the palace's clean lines. The colours - terracotta, sandstone, green and water blue - make the image calm and layered.
This is a place where history remains palpable, but where you experience space at the same time. That's exactly what I try to convey in my photography: not just capturing a building, but the atmosphere in it. This shot fits well in an interior where peace and structure come together - for example, in a study, hallway or living room with natural tones.
