The Netherlands is famous for its cultivated tulips and is one of the main export countries of tulips and tulip bulbs. Traditionally, an exhibition of millions of tulips is held at the Keukenhof in Lisse, the Netherlands, in the spring, which is mostly visited by tourists. Many tourists also come to see the tulip fields. Best known are the more traditional fields along the dunes of South Holland and the West Frisian polders. However, the majority of tulips can be found in Flevoland, particularly in the Noordoostpolder.
