A wooden road leads over the dunes to the beach at Nieuwvliet-Bad. An elderly man walks almost at the top of the dune. The hanging shoulders, shoes in his hand. The road up is not easy, but the reward is great; the beach. The only thing missing is a handkerchief with four buttons on the head!

Nieuwvliet-Bad, in the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen region, is the collective name for the bungalow parks, recreational areas and campsites on the West-Zeeland coast near Nieuwvliet. The wide sandy beach is the main reason for the strong tourist activities. On the beach the Central Station of the lifeguard of West-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is situated. In Nieuwvliet-Bad there is also the salt marsh and swallow area of the Verdronken Zwarte Polder.
