View of the Egadi Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. The islands are located off the coast of Sicily, in the south of Italy. The photo shows the outline of the islands of Levanzo and Marettimo.
The photo was taken in the spring just before sunset from a park in the village of Erice. Erice is very touristy and is located in the northwest of Sicily at an altitude of about 750 meters. A lot of daytime tourists come here. This means that early in the morning and from the end of the afternoon there are far fewer tourists. In the park Giardino del Balio, in the southeast of Erice, you have a nice view of a part of Sicily and you can see the Egadi Islands, about 20 kilometers away. The islands lie off the coast, near the city of Trapani, from where you can visit the islands by boat.
The soft light of the setting sun creates warm hues.
