About the artwork

Waalbrug in northern direction. The bridge from the stairs for the cyclists in Northern direction. The sun is just below, the sky turns blue. The Sodium lamps that serve as street lighting give the bridge and the arches underneath an orange-like glow. The Waal Bridge near Nijmegen is a busy traffic route for traffic in and out of the city. The Waal Bridge is an arch bridge over the Waal that connects the center of Nijmegen with Lent. The bridge is part of the N325 and the city route S100. The bridge is an important connection in the route to Arnhem. The full length of the Waal bridge is 604 meters, and it is about 65 meters high in the middle of the arch. The largest span, the arch itself, is 244.10 meters long, and on completion in 1936 was the longest arc voltage in Europe. In contrast to many other bridges from the same period and with the same construction, such as the IJssel bridge near Zwolle, the John S. Thompson bridge near Grave and the John Frost bridge near Arnhem, the Waal bridge is unique, because it is an arch bridge in the literal sense of the word. ; the transfer of the forces actually rests in the two pillars. A bus lane is located on the western side of the Waalbrug. The bridge has a cycle path on both sides with a narrow pedestrian strip. The bridge was green first, from 1980 it was painted light beige.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
