Oil pastel chalk painting inspired by Claude Monet's water lily paintings. Monet was an impressionist painter and painted many water-lily paintings in many different colours and sizes. He drew inspiration from his own garden; nature was his studio. He lived in Giverny a village in Normandy and created his famous garden there, which can still be visited and admired. Monet was a painter of light and colour, he painted in a romantic style. But he is best known and famous for his water lily paintings.
