While photographing near the church on the Terp in Leidschenveen I came across this one: the wild chichory. The purple blue of the flower combines nicely with the green of the grass in the background. The root can be roasted and ground and is said to have served as a substitute for coffee during the Second World War. I have not tried it. The wild chicory is related to the chicory and the leaves can be eaten as a salad
Photography is looking with different eyes. For over 10 years I have tried to capture my view of the world through the lens. My favorite subjects are landscapes, nature, macro photography, cities and architecture.
