About ‘Wind chill at salt flats’ by K. Pauw Photography

Bonaire's salt pans are one of the island's most impressive and characteristic landscapes. The large, reflecting pools colour in shades from soft pink to bright white, depending on the salt content and the position of the sun. On rare windless days, when the water surface is completely calm, the salt pans sparkle like a giant mirror perfectly reflecting the sky and clouds - a magical sight rarely seen. Salt has been mined here for centuries, a tradition that dates back to the time of Dutch colonisation. Today, the salt pans are not only economically important, but also a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. Flamingos wade through the shallow waters, while the vast plains form an almost surreal contrast with the azure Caribbean sea beyond.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
