The Willemstoren has probably felt more wind than anyone else on Bonaire. On that southern tip, it blows so hard that even the palm trees never grow straight. Yet the tower has stood tirelessly for almost two centuries. A fun fact: lighthouse keepers used to have to stay there for days on end, with only the wind, the sea and flamingos for company. Not exactly a place for those who like conviviality, but with views that no hotel can match!
