At the southern tip of Bonaire, tucked away next to the proud William Tower, stands a small, weathered house slowly being taken back by time. The walls, once whitewashed, are now dull from salt and sun, and the roof seems to bow under years of wind. Yet there is something touching in the silence around the cottage - as if the walls still remember what it was like when life sounded here. When lighthouse keepers drank coffee there at first light and let their eyes glide over the horizon, searching for ships. Now only the rustle of wind through open windows remains, and the thought that even abandoned places continue to whisper their stories.
