Just after Christmas, the street leading from the ski station to the Krupowki shopping street in Zakopane is buzzing with activity. The highest town in Poland, close to the Polish-Slovakian border. It is a cold day, but it does not stop people from getting some fresh air and buying the famous local product (smoked) oscypek from one of the many market stalls. The most famous cheese made in the Tatras from salted sheep's milk as the main ingredient.
