On a quiet morning in picturesque De Cocksdorp on Texel, I captured this moment with a long shutter speed. This wooden jetty, battered by weather and wind, seems to disappear endlessly into the Wadden Sea. Time slows down, the water turns into a silky smooth plain and the clouds traverse the sky like brushstrokes. The result is a hushed scene that radiates tranquillity and infinity.

This shot is an ode to the simplicity and strength of nature. The weathered poles tell stories of storms, summer days and thousands of footsteps. The use of long shutter speeds blurs the movement and creates an almost surreal tranquillity.
