Oil portrait of a young woman . I was inspired by the painting The Girl at the Window by Rembrandt van Rijn . Here she has grown into a modern young woman in a chunky knit white sweater . The shadows on the sweater are pink, beige and light gray blue. The sweater is painted with thick layers of paint so that the chunky knit sweater stands out better. The light shines on her red hair. Rembrandt is famous for his light and I tried to emulate that a bit, which is actually impossible with such a great Master Painter.
