This photo is a macro shot of the fluffy bulb of the woodlouse. Still easily recognisable but still seen through the close-up in a different way.
The image shows the top three/quarter of the flower bulb.
Every child likes to blow this bulb apart. The fluff then flies around causing some who are standing too close sometimes to sneeze.
The photo was taken with the nikon D7500 with 18-55 lens with a 10 mm macro ring between camera and lens.
The conversion to black and white was done in Lightroom.
The choice of black and white only came about because it allowed the background to be completely blacked out so that the sphere gets the viewer's full attention.
