At Olympic N.P. in the northwestern U.S., you can look for starfish, sea anemones and many other marine animals during low tide. At this rocky coast tide pools form during low tide. Between the rocks a layer of water remains and in it you can find beautiful sea creatures like the starfish and the sea anemones in this picture. If you want to see them, look up the tides first so you are there at the right time and are not surprised by the rising water.
