Maria Blanchard (1881-1932) was a Spanish painter known for her significant contributions to 20th-century modern art. She was a prominent figure in Cubism and was often referred to as the "Spanish Cubist." Blanchard's works are characterized by her distinctive use of geometric forms, fragmented depictions, and subtle color palette. Despite physical limitations due to a spinal condition, she managed to pursue a remarkable career in art, creating a variety of still lifes, portraits, and landscapes.
