Ishikawa Toyonobu (1711-1785) was a significant Japanese Ukiyo-e artist of the 18th century. He is considered one of the pioneers in the development of Ukiyo-e art and made significant contributions to the establishment of color woodblock prints. Toyonobu is particularly known for his depictions of actors, courtesans, and scenes from the vibrant everyday life of the Edo period. His works are characterized by vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and careful compositions.
