This digital artwork shows a powerful yet ironically charged composition in which the Statue of Liberty stands proudly atop a globe. The world map shows Europe, Asia and Africa in bright colours, suggesting the global meaning of freedom. Yet the context raises more questions than reassurance.
What is striking is the fiery red flame in the torch - bright and ominous, as if the torch sets fire rather than illuminates. It is reminiscent of a period when words like "freedom" and "American values" were used as political weapons rather than moral guides. The colour red - symbol of alarm, danger, or partisan fire - is hard to separate from the Trump era, in which the Statue of Liberty seemed to falter rather than inspire.
The placement of the Statue of Liberty atop the globe can be read as an ironic comment on America's self-image under Trump: a nation that sees itself as a moral beacon, but at the same time closed borders, cancelled climate agreements and undermined international cooperation. The work asks the question: does the image carry the world, or does it push it down?
The minimalist background puts the focus on this global tension between symbol and reality. Thus, this digital composition becomes a subtle-cynical portrait of freedom under pressure - a silent indictment disguised as world vision.
