The artwork "Architecture meets colour - Erfurt modern" shows a multi-storey residential building with a clear façade structure and several balconies. The building is surrounded by trees whose foliage has been dyed in bright pink and magenta - a deliberate colour alienation that detaches the motif from the everyday. The sky is clear and blue, which further intensifies the colour contrasts and gives the picture an almost graphic effect.
The inspiration for this work arose from the desire to interpret urban architecture not only in a documentary way, but also creatively. Through the targeted manipulation of colour, I wanted to shift the perception - away from the purely realistic and towards a new, visually condensed level.
I wanted to create an atmosphere that is structured but also experimental. The picture invites you to think about colour, space and perception.
The message lies in the combination of reality and artistic intervention - a play with conventions and viewing habits.
In interior design, this work acts as a strong visual accent. It is particularly suitable for modern, creative spaces where colour, texture and a touch of surrealism are welcome.
