About ‘Attendance’ by trotzwegen

Sometimes no explanations are needed, just the realisation: I am here, and you are here.

For me, this image is a very personal and intimate one. It captures precisely that moment when you stand facing each other and are simply there for one another.
Without the feeling of having to hide, without evasion and without having to explain anything. You look at each other and know: here there is trust, here everything is allowed to be, here it is safe.

The delicate golden veins trace what we carry with us through life – the experiences and some of the scars that we don’t need to hide, because in the end they have become our foundation.

The motif is shown to its best advantage on matt aluminium Dibond, because the material lends depth to the golden lines and the dark setting grounds the image completely without any distracting reflections.

A declaration of the soul for all those who know how much unshakeable strength lies in simply being there for one another in the here and now.
